Yes, if you're a small team that wants a Profound alternative you can buy without a sales call. Shruwd and Profound both track how often AI answers name your brand, read your server logs to show which AI crawlers visit, and point you at what to do next.
For brands, Profound's paid plan is Enterprise: up to nine AI engines, prompts run daily, SSO and SOC 2, listed as "Custom" with a "Get a Demo" button. Shruwd covers ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews, lists its prices, and tells you the likely reason an answer leaves you out, then checks whether your fix moved the number.
Profound's details are from tryprofound.com, checked September 19, 2026. Profound also lists a self-serve plan for agencies, Agency Growth, at "$99/month + add-ons". There's a matching page for Shruwd and Peec AI, side by side
Shruwd's plans are on its pricing page: a free plan, Starter at $49 a month and Pro at $149 a month. Limits are hard caps, so the price on the page is the price you pay.
For brands, Profound lists Enterprise as "Custom", with a "Get a Demo" button. That is a reasonable way to sell to a large company. It is a slow way to answer "is this worth $50 a month to me".

For brands, a "Get a Demo" button
Profound's figures are its own, from tryprofound.com. It also lists Agency Growth, for agencies, at "$99/month + add-ons".
Recheck scheduled. Watching for OAI-SearchBot to get through.
Both tools point you at what to do next. Profound's AI Marketer "proactively identifies opportunities for your brand", and Profound suggests taking your findings into its Agents "to build and publish content targeting those exact prompts", then coming back "to track whether your visibility moves".
Shruwd gives you a finding: the likely reason you're left out, the page to change and the change to make. You make the change, then Shruwd measures the affected questions again and tells you whether the number moved.
AI answers change from one run to the next. On Enterprise, Profound runs every tracked prompt daily so your visibility score "reflects your true average across all responses".
Shruwd shows the range around each rate instead, so two numbers that look identical stop looking identical. And when there isn't enough data behind a number, you get "insufficient data" rather than a figure that reads like a measurement.
Crawler logs come from your host's log drain or from Cloudflare, on every plan. How that works
Measure your own prompts on both engines, read your crawler logs, and see your first findings. No card, and no demo call.

For a brand, there’s no list price to compare. Profound lists Enterprise, its paid plan for brands, as "Custom", with a "Get a Demo" button. Shruwd’s paid plans are $49 and $149 a month, on its pricing page. For agencies, Profound lists Agency Growth at "$99/month + add-ons". Both tools have a free way to start. Shruwd pricing
Yes, a free Trial: 10 prompts that Profound recommends, run once on ChatGPT, with Agent Analytics included. Trial users can’t change the prompts. Shruwd’s free plan measures 10 prompts you choose, once, on ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews. It also reads your crawler logs every month.
Shruwd tracks ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews on every plan. Profound’s pricing page lists up to nine on Enterprise: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek, Claude, Google AI Overviews and Exa Search. Its free Trial covers ChatGPT only.
It’s a choice. Shruwd asks ChatGPT through OpenAI’s API and reads Google’s public results page. Its answers are a proxy for what one person sees, and Shruwd labels them that way. In return, every question is asked the same way each week, so a change in the numbers reflects a change in the answers. Where the answers come from
Yes. Profound’s Agent Analytics reads your server logs, comes with its free Trial, and says it separates real AI bots from spoofed ones. Shruwd reads your logs on every plan too, and counts a visit only once it’s checked against the company the crawler names. AI crawler logs
Yes. Paste the prompts you tracked into Shruwd all at once, one per line, up to your plan’s limit: 10 on the free plan, 25 on Starter and 100 on Pro.
One measurement, your own crawler data, and the three access findings that matter most. Free, no card, about two minutes.
